The Pest Defense for Healthy Schools is a training package with lessons tailored to different groups of school professionals. All materials are available as a set of presentation files and a trainer guide for schools that are using the program for their professional development and internal employee training.
Trainers who plan to train school employees in their school district or at an event or conference on Integrated Pest Management can request the Pest Defense training materials for free. Please email us the date and location of your training, and what training presentation you would like to use and we will email the presentation files to you along with training quizzes and certificate templates.
Continuing Education Unit information: Training modules have been submitted in some states to the institution issuing CEUs to licensed sanitarians, food services staff and pesticide applicators. Contact us for support to submit the training in your state or to see if your state has already approved the materials.
A start-up training package is also available if you would like to support your local school by purchasing or gifting the Pest Defense program. The Supporter Program includes access to the full training package as well as an on-boarding webinar and consultation with recommendations on how to best use the training depending on your school district’s specific needs and priorities. All files can be altered to reflect the specific topics relevant to your school or to focus on pest problems specific to your region and state.
